Alpha Credit Union was founded in March,1942, under the provisions of the Statutes of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a cooperative financial institution.

The field of membership includes individuals working at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Joslin Diabetes Center, Lahey Clinic, and Tufts Medical Center. However, our by-laws state "...once a member- always a member..." which means you can remain a member of Alpha Credit Union "FOREVER"; no matter where you live or work!
